Panta Rei Danseteater is seeking professional dance artists from all genres for the talent development program TILT Grow 2027.

Saturday 31 October / Dansens Hus (In-person audition by invitation)
Tuesday 3 November / Sentralen (Interview round by invitation)
Thursday 5 November / Sentralen (Interview round by invitation)

The program is aimed at dance artists with a strong interest in contributing to increased enjoyment and engagement with dance among the general public. We are looking for dancers with strong performance skills and professional experience, who have either completed a three-year dance education or can demonstrate at least three years of professional practice. Applicants must have a high technical level within their genre.

For the program, we aim to create a diverse group with different genre backgrounds, cultural backgrounds, identities, disabilities and gender expressions. We value individuality, creative skills and artistic distinctiveness.

The artists selected for the program will:

  • Receive guidance from a mentor throughout the 2027 project year
  • Work as a co-creating performer in a solo developed in collaboration with a renowned choreographer
  • Participate in a tour in Oslo and neighbouring counties with Panta Rei Danseteater’s outdoor walking performance initiative, “Oslofjorden danser”
  • Take part in an internal seminar series on topics related to the activities in the programme
  • Gain valuable project management experience and take responsibility for outreach projects

The application must include:

  1. CV and photo
  2. A video of a solo performance or film that clearly demonstrates your artistic practice (maximum 5 minutes; we only accept Vimeo links)
  3. A motivation letter (maximum 1 A4 page) explaining why this programme is right for you. Please also include the name of at least one choreographer you would like to work with and one mentor you would like to have, and explain why. The motivation letter will be an important part of the assessment process, but your suggestions for choreographer and mentor will not be decisive.
  4. All documents must be submitted together in a single PDF.

Please note: Candidates invited to the audition will be asked to perform a self-choreographed solo (maximum 1 minute).

IMPORTANT information:

  • Based on the application and video material, selected applicants will be invited to an audition. All applicants will receive a response, including those who are not invited.
  • The program is open to dance artists residing in Norway. Being based in the Oslo area is an advantage.
  • The program starts in January 2027.
  • TILT Grow is a part-time program with activities taking place throughout the year.
    We would like to emphasize that motivation for participating in the program is particularly important.
