DiGGfest - Dance in Gamle Oslo is back!

DiGGfest is back! We fill Gamle Oslo (Old Oslo) with dance and events spread across the district in parks and squares from Bjørvika to Grønland, at the Intercultural Museum and Deichman Bjørvika (our new library in Oslo), from 19th of May to the 1st of June! Please note that the exact times and places will be announced soon so stay tuned for more details because you don’t want miss this great new outdoor dance festival!

We’ll begin with DiGGfest at your school from 19th – 27th May when some of the festival companies will visit primary schools in Gamle Oslo for performances and workshops as part of Norway’s “Cultural Backpack” programme.

DiGGfest weekend for everyone May 24th & 25th

Approach 17- Opening – The Yoann Bourgeois Art Company
An exciting dance performance that uses a large trampoline and a staircase! Watch the dancer jump, soar, and balance as he explores what it’s like to make choices and face challenges.

La Grande Phrase – Didier Théron Company
The hilarious, bloated characters deliver a spectacular dance show in the streets to delight audiences of all ages.

Rose Rouge – Kvinnereller scenekunstkompani
“Rose Rouge” is a lively dance piece about friendship that plays with the audience and plays on expectations in rhythmic choreography.

Flekker – Yaniv Cohen
Four colorful “Flekker” appear in random places in Gamle Oslo and spread joy and fun with dance and music,

Oslofjord Danser – a journey through Gamle Oslo. The audience favourite is back! Experience Oslo’s perhaps most colorful district in a new way through this unique walking performance.
