Generations meet!
To build a bridge between the younger and older generation, with dance as a tool.
Young people who dance at Ringsaker Cultural School were set up with an elderly person each from Tømmerli bo and activity center. At the first meeting, the youth performed with dance for everyone at the center. Minda Marie Kalfoss and Frida Vorgaard also showed their TILT solo. Then some of the elders who had agreed in advance and the young people went together to a room and sat talking, ate ice cream and drank juice. Here were many nice conversations and stories to share. The topic of loneliness was a topic we went into a bit, but there were many other stories that also wanted to be told.
A week later, they met again to see the dance performance “En… som” together. The youth went up to Tømmerli, took their elder to the show, saw it together, and ended the evening by going up to Tømmerli and saying goodbye there.
(During both of these projects, we have been in contact with the organization Vilmer. They act as an intermediary for agencies that want visits / entertainment and those who can provide it. For example, a residence and activity center and the cultural school. They help to document the meetings.)
