OPEN CALL DIGGFEST 2025

DiGGfest invites dance artists to apply for the festival’s Open Call scheme. Through the scheme, we want to facilitate for dance artists living in Norway to be able to show works in public spaces during DiGGfest on 24 and 25 May 2025. The scheme facilitates up to 2 productions.

DiGGfest is a dance festival for Oslo’s population with strong local roots in the Old Oslo district. The festival offers performances and events for all ages and all experiences with dance. We want to reach a diverse audience both in terms of gender, age, functional variation and ethnicity. Parts of DiGGfest are specially adapted for sign language learners.

DiGGfest wants variety in artistic expression and site-specific or site-sensitive performances that can be played out in public spaces. The programme will address the broad range of the population.

Requirements for the productions:

Technical prerequisites:

• The performances must be able to be performed outside in Old Oslo. Performances with simple technique will be prioritized. Rider must be attached to the application.

• Financial framework: DiGGfest covers fees for 1 dress rehearsal and 2 performance days with up to 3 performances per day.

• Video documentation, either of fully produced performances or work in progress must be submitted with the application.

• For performances/projects that have not been started, a presentation of the idea and concept must be submitted.

• Include information about any future screening dates.
