The Oslofjord dances - a journey through Old Oslo
The audience success is back!
On 20 August 2022, Panta Rei Dance Theatre and Dansens Hus once again have the pleasure of welcoming the performance Oslofjord Dances – a journey through Old Oslo.
The walk starts at the Interkulturelt Museum in Grønland and moves down to Vaterland, where rowing boats from Akerselva Båtforening are waiting to take the audience through the tunnel, past the Opera House and the Munch Museum and out to the Oslofjord at Sørenga Sjøbad.
During the walk, there are many beautiful moments of dance art that highlight the different qualities, connections and contrasts of the neighbourhood.
“The Oslofjord dances – a journey through Old Oslo” is a completely new way to experience the city and nature.
NB: The performances sold out quickly last year, so it pays to be early.
The travelling performance through Gamle Oslo is part of the Oslofjord Dances initiative – a series of travelling performances with dance at the centre. The aim is to stage the Oslofjord and at the same time focus on a rich diversity of expressions, urban spaces and nature experiences.
