Tilt Grow The Dancers 2022

Panta Rei Danseteaters (PRD) talentprogram TILT Grow går inn i sitt femte år i 2022. I samarbeid med Talent Norge er vi glade for å tilby kunstnerisk fordypning og kompetansebygging for en bærekraftig dansekarriere. Nytt av året er et tilbud også til mer erfarne dansetalenter gjennom delsatsingen TILT Share. Ni dansekunstnere er valgt ut til programmet.

TILT GROW:

Gard Hjertaas Bjørnson has a bachelor’s degree in jazz dance from KHiO. Since 2011 he has worked as a freelancer in various projects, and has extensive experience in the entire field of dance. As a performer he has worked with Oslo Danse Ensemble from 2011 to 2016, with choreographers such as Masja Abrahamsen, Karl E. Nedregaard and Knut A. Flatner, Jo Strømgren, Ole Martin Meland and Fredrik “Benke” Rydman to name a few. In recent years, Gard has both participated and choreographed in everything from TV (The Voice, Nobel Peace Prize Concert, Sports Gala) to musicals and short films.

Vilja Tjemsland Kwasny (NO/PL) is a Norwegian/Polish dancer. She studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She has worked both as a freelance dancer and as a company member in Nagelhus Schia Productions and Carte Blanche (NO). She is looking forward to participating in this year’s TILT Grow.

Ian Yves Ancheta (SE) is a dancer/performer and choreographer. His first encounter with dance was with New School Hip hop and this led to his great interest in musicality and fragmented movement qualities. Ian holds a BA in Dance from ArtEZ University of the Arts. Since 2019, he has been supported by Dansateliers to research and produce his own works for various theaters and festivals. As a dancer, Ian has worked with choreographers such as Conny Janssen, Ingrid Berger Myhre and Tom Weinberger among others. He currently dances at NSP 2 Nagelhus Schia Productions 21/22.

Laura Perrot (FR) is a French dance artist who graduated with an MA from the NSCD in England (2013-2017). Her professional career started as an apprentice at Ace Dance and Music in Birmingham (UK). In 2018, she worked with Irene K Company and Francesca Selva Company, before joining imPerfect Dancers Company, where she worked for three years with choreographer Walter Matteini and performed internationally. She now lives in Oslo as a freelancer, and wants to combine different dance projects and create her own works.

Maren Grønstad (NO) is a 22-year-old Norwegian dance artist, born and raised in Oslo with a big heart for contemporary dance. In 2021, she graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a Bachelor in Contemporary Dance. During her education, she has able to play and challenge herself for three years, and worked with a number of renowned and inspiring choreographers. Maren wants to dive deeper into contemporary dance, and looks forward to a year where she can get the support of a mentor and good professionals, to guide her through the process and development of herself as a creative dance artist.

Sofia Farrah (NO/US) is a curiosity-driven Norwegian-American dancer who started from the age of twelve in her hometown before creating her own schedule of open classes through ODC and Alonzo King LINES (San Francisco) and later attended the Steps Conservatory (New York), Bårdar Academy (Oslo), and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance summer intensive. She has worked with Manakin Dance Theatre, The Fosse Verdon Legacy and Billy Griffin through Steps. She has choreographed her own work, including a piece in the pipeline for summer 2022. She writes, she teaches Steele Pilates, and she is a dancer in TILT Grow 2022.

Clarice Ekperedinma Okeke started early in her dance career. This led her to the company Tabanka Dance Ensemble where she has worked for 10 years. Through the ensemble, she gained a lot of technical knowledge about African and Caribbean dance traditions, spiritual traditions and rituals. With an interest in the Healing Arts, Clarice combines both dance and healing, which led to the creation of the organization Titiayo – healing center. In Tabanka Dance Ensemble, Clarice has also been responsible for numerous outreach projects.

TILT SHARE

Marianne Haugli (NO) is a Norwegian dance artist with extensive experience and has worked in dance for over 15 years. She graduated from Khio in 2005, and has worked with Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt, Hege Haagenrud, Dans design, Yaniv Cohen, Kjersti Alveberg and others. In addition, she choreographs her own works, and has a strong connection to Asker Municipality. In addition, Marianne works nationally and internationally as a fashion choreographer and travels regularly to Copenhagen to stage major productions for the likes of Ganni, Marimekko, Cecilie Bahnsen, Rodebjer, By Marlene Birger, Rains and more. Marianne enjoys hovering between art and fashion, as well as loving the variety of her work. She often works with ordinary people with no experience, and she also teaches creative dance to children. These days, she studies pedagogy at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts to get new inspiration into her work.

Mathilde Caeyers (NO) is a dance artist and choreographer from Tromsø. Since completing her bachelor’s degree in dance from The Liverpool Institute for Performing arts in 2018, she has created four dance performances, all exploring different metaphysical theories of everything from free will, to time, determinism and consciousness. With the goal of creating a surreal realism on stage, Mathilde tries to develop a scenic expression that lies at the tipping point between reality and fiction.

She was recently featured as a young artist at the Festival of Northern Norway, where she premiered her latest performance New Religion; a science-fiction dance performance about how artificial intelligence can gain a godlike authority over humans.

In addition, Mathilde is also chair of the board of Forum for Northern Norwegian Dance Artists and board member of the performing arts festival Vårscenefest and RadArt – Network for Free Performing Arts.
