CESILIE KVERNELAND
Cecilie is a dance artist based in Stavanger. She graduated from the University of Stavanger with a vocational teacher education in dance and with further training from the Peridance Capezio Dance Theater in New York City. Cesilie has also studied choreography at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles and received a Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School.
Since 2016, she has worked with musician John Derek Bishop and author Gunnar Roalkvam on the project “Ute et sted” which is a series of site-specific performances with music, dance and text in outdoor space. She works freelance as a choreographer and as a dancer for James Cousins (UK), Roskva Yasmin Andersen (NO) and Inger Cecilie Bertràn de Lis (NO) and Pia Myrvold (FR / NO).
RACHEL ERDOS
Rachel Erdos is a British / Israeli award winning independent choreographer. She received her MA from The Laban Center London. Rachel won first prize in the AICC International choreography competition, Aarhus, Denmark in 2008 and in 2009 won City Dance Ensemble’s commissioning project, Washington DC.
In 2012 Rachel was awarded the prize for artist of the year by The Ministry of Absorption, Israel. In 2014 she won NorthWest Dance Project’s Pretty Creative Commission, Portland USA. In 2015 Rachel was awarded prize for independent choreographer of the year by The Ministry of Culture, Israel. Her work has been shown in some of the most prestigious venues including The Kennedy Center, Washington DC, The Joyce, New York and the Royal Opera House London. In 2018 Rachel was visiting artist / professor at Brown University, U.S.A.
